Technical Scientific Term for this Weird, Supernatural-like Experience?

the paralysis part is common. I don't know much about it but a lot of people get it where they can't move for periods of time upon waking up. However, it is hard for me to judge because i've never had this experience, and also, (I'm not saying anything about anything you believe in) it may just be a hallucination.
